  • 9 months old & 25 years old!

I can't believe my baby girl is 9 months old! It is so hard believe! She's is learning new things every day & surprising us with new tricks daily! Right now she is sleeping peacefully in her swing, so I decided to blog real quick!

My dad was here for 2 weeks visiting in October for my birthday! It was a beautiful visit, spending time with him & watching him playing with Emma! My dad has come a long way with everything he's been through this past year. He had a total of 3 surgeries & came through all of them, when the doctor's didn't think he would! It just shows though's doctors know nothing, when you have complete faith in God.

This past month was a difficult one for all of us. Paul's Grandma was released home , to have in home care. We all enjoyed having her home & being able to spend time with her. She was only home for a week, & had to go back to the hospital due to a high fever. The next day we got the call that she coded & had to be resuscitated with paddles. We were told that they would only be able to keep her alive for 4 hours but she lived those 4 hrs & is still living to this day. It just show more and more that doctors aren't the one who can say when it's over, only God can decided that.

Well I'm officially 25 years old & had a beautiful birthday celebrate close friends & family! My sister-in-law made a beautiful sunflower, chocolate cheesecake! Which if you knew me you would know how much I love chocolate cheese cake! I received some beautiful gifts that I adore from everyone!

My sweet husband surprised me early on in October with a new Mac Book Pro! I was shocked & very surprised! My old one battery cord decided to over heat & actually to catch on fire! It happen the same night that my husband was setting up my new one! I love having a mac it's awesome because now I can video chat with my family anytime! If any of you have skype or Mac, let me know! Maybe we can video chat sometime. = )

Well Emma is pulling herself up on everything! Within the past 2 weeks, I've had to completely baby safe my whole house! No more pretty little nick-nacks on tables in the living room, she's been able to reach them & accidentally broke one of them. She's crawling & getting into everything & everything! She's saying Mama more & more each day, especially when she cries! She's learning to stand up on her own without holding onto anything! Her newest thing is that she figure out how to turn on our stereo system! She does it all the time now = ) One of my favorite things to do is watch her play with her daddy! She sure does love him & gets super excited the second he gets home from work! Last night we went out grocery shopping & picked up a new car seat for her. I think she went through a major growth spurt this week because it was so hard getting her strap in on her old one!

The past 2 months I have been working on Christmas gifts! To cut back on money, I decided to make most of the gifts this year! I honestly love homemade gifts, they're so unique & come from the heart! I can't share about exactly I'm making but I can share with what I'm making Emma! I making her a special pillow & blanket that has her name embroider! I'm also making her very 1st doll! I actually created my own pattern for it! I'm making it out of fabric for the body & for the hair I'm using yarn! I got the idea from my mother-in-law, who made one for my sister-in-law Anna.

My hubby's birthday is coming up in a few weeks! I can't wait to make his cake!! I can't say what I'm making because it's surprise because it's something he really likes!

Onto SousChef! My favorite program for my mac that I absolutely love right now! My husband got it for me recently. You can go to any recipe website & import that recipe without having to print out the recipe! It also has a grocery list, that tells you exactly what you need for any certain recipe! Check out the link!

fb Here's one of the most recent pictures of Emma that I took recently! There's more on my flickr. Here's a link to my flickr that has more pictures of when my dad was here as well.

Tonight Paul has relatives coming in all the way from Barbados, where Paul was born! His Great Aunt & her son, which I think would be his cousin right?! Not sure totally on that! Gran hasn't seen her sister in over 20 something years!

For those who make homemade laundry soap like me, I found a more gentle recipe that is baby safe & cleans amazing! It pulls out pretty tough stains! Recently I heard that you can use Vinegar as a fabric softener! It's the cheapest out & plus the most gentle on clothes! I did a test run on it, when I wash 2 load of towels one with Vinegar & one with store bought softener! The one that I used Vinegar with actually made my towels a lot softer, no joke! I was impressed & have been using vinegar ever since! I just add about 1-2 tablespoons to my washer in the beginning of the cycle. I notice if I put it in my softener ball, that it doesn't work as well.

Be on the look out this week, I'm planning on taking Emma's 9 months pictures! I collected some leaves from outside & cleaned them up & planning on using them in her photo shoot!

Well I better go, I need to clean up a little around here! Although I wanted to leave on one note & remind you of how much Jesus loves you! This song might now just makes me feel so special & loved by Him! Somedays when I'm down on my image & I'll turn this song on & just lifts my spirt. How He Loves Us-David Crowder Band

  • October Already?

Time sure has flown by, now the leaves are changing color, chilly days, which means winter is close by.

Emma is now 8 months! She still hasn't cut anymore teeth & is now crawling all over the place! Within the past 2 days, she's been able to crawl from one room to the next without falling! She's also pulling herself up! I can't believe my baby girl is not so little anymore!! She sure loves it when you play on the floor with her , or whenever she see's her daddy come in the room, she lights up!

My dad came in Sunday night to visit until after my birthday! He's doing great & having a great time with Emma & all of us! It's hard to believe my birthday is in 8 days! Crazy! I'm going to be 25 years old... 5 years to 30 lol oh boy!

Recently my old mac has been giving some problems and stopped working! I was so bummed because i use my mac for a lot of things. Well friday my computer stopped working earlier that week my husband order me a new one! He decided to give it to me before my birthday, since I didn't have one to use. He got me a new Mac Book Pro, and I love it!!

Lately these days I'm either painting, sewing, or doing plastic canvas! I'm trying to get all my Christmas gifts finished in time!!

Well I'll try to blog again this week now that I have this Mac.

Check below for a post on Emma's 8 months photoshoot that I took last week.

  • Priorities

A few months back, the word priorities was pressed on my heart. I really felt led by God to seriously search my heart & clean it up. I never notice recently how much time you can waste with watching tv & bring on the computer. Seriously I could blow hours on looking up recipes, watching movies or just simply playing games. When I noticed how much time I was wasting away I notice the important things that day to day weren't getting down nor spending the quality time with my precious lil family. I decided to cut out out a lot of my computer time, and I notice that I was accomplishing much more than I ever have & on the bonus side I been getting to bed much earlier. I don't k now about y'all, but I can't stand going to bed after midnight, and waking up early in the morning. I read that it isn't healthy for you & can bring your immune systom down.

It's hard cutting out the things that you love to do, but in the end it worth it, when you see the rewarding results. This week I'm working hard on limiting my time on here & on watching tv. It's going to be hard but I know I can do it.

This picture is so special to me, so dear to me because it was 1 of the first pictures taking after Emma was  born. Plus it was taking the night I came home from the hospital. I never forget being in the hospital & missing her so bad. I only was able to hold her for a few minutes before I had to go to hospital. I remember just watching her in amazement saying " I can't believe she's mine, she's apart of me & my husband!"

Now my little girl is 7 1/2 months old! Time is flying by & I wish it would slow down honestly. I love each day with her, watching her learn something new, watching her with her daddy. She's such a daddy's girl! She lights up when ever she see's him come home from work. I really am blessed that my husband allows me to be able to be home with her, instead having to put her in daycare.

Emma now has 2 teeth on her bottom jaw. She's scooting already, I tell you I think she's so close to crawling. She gets up all fours & rocks back & forth, trying so hard to crawl. She says dada, baba all day long! She's only said Ma a few times, but in time she'll get there! I'm so thankful that since she's been born, she's been 100 % healthy! I have a friend right now who's newborn is in the hospital. My heart breaks for her, that she's going through that. I can't imagine to know what it feels like.

My dad is planning on coming down for a visit in October for my birthday! I can't believe it a month away until I turn 25! Wow.. years sure have flown by!

Another thing I'm so thankful for is having family that lives so cloes by. I really would be lost if we didn't have family so close! When your in need, it helps having family there & coming together as one in believing in Gods promises! Please continue to keep Paul's Grandma in your prayers. She's still in the ICU & is doing much better, thanks to Gods healing works! We're all believing by faith that Gran will be healed!

Lately I've been getting back into crafts, since Christmas is only a few months away. This year I'm making most by gifts, which is going to be a lot of fun! If your friend on my facebook , I've posted some pictures!

Well I'm going to go cuddle with my little girl!

Sorry it's been forever since I've update! It's hard for me to sit down & gather my thoughts with a busy bee in my lap!

    Love never fails,
    Sarah'
